It was our pleasure to present a check to the Coastal Conservation Association of California (CCA) last night for the money raised by our fun little superhero challenge. We had fun with it and raised money for a very worthy cause - to protect our fishing rights and fishery. Thank you CCA and Wayne Kotow for what you do for us anglers and thanks to my friends and fellow superheroes for helping us out. #hookupbaits #CCA #givingback This post was originally on Facebook, if you have good stories and pictures please share on our facebook page. Hookup Baits Gives Back

By | 2017-08-31T13:25:27+00:00 August 25th, 2017|News & Announcements, Newsletter|0 Comments

We are giving back to the community this week. As we continue to grow it is important to Hookup Baits to give back. Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) of California Hookup Baits will be writing a check to the CCA for $500 to be delivered at the CCA San Diego this Saturday at their Craft Beer & Food Festival. As we completed the Super Hero challenge Hookup Baits donated the fees from the Super Heros and matched their contribution to give to CCA this weekend. We appreciate all of the support of Wayne and CCA. Learn more about the CCA Online or on Facebook Boulder Oaks Art Program The second check of $500 will be to Lisa Lomax FBO Boulder Oaks Art Program. Lisa has been teaching art at this program for many years. Children's art is important to Hookup Baits so the check is to help purchase supplies for the children art projects for the year. We look forward to attending the art show at the end of the school year. Thank Lisa for all you do for the children! Learn more about the Art Program.

Hookup Baits is excited to announce the winners of the 2017 Superhero Challenge. We're also thankful for our hard working friends of Hookup Baits not only paid to get into the challenge, but participated in it. A great time was had by all. Congratulations to: Biggest Fish = Sardine Snipper with a Halibut Biggest Bass = Glow Green Gringo Most Liked on Facebook = El Negro Most fish caught = Red Beard Red Crab There was not an overall winner since no one won more than one category. The best part of the contest is that we get to donate a nice sum of money to the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) of California which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 8/26/17 at the Craft Beer & Food Festival. This donation is one of many "Hookup Baits Gives Back" activities that we're participating in this year. Thank all of you for supporting Hookup Baits and all that we support!

Lingcod and Salmon in BC Love the Hookup Baits

By | 2017-08-31T13:25:27+00:00 August 20th, 2017|News & Announcements, Newsletter|0 Comments

Much better water conditions today but light rain most of the day. We absolutely killed them!!!. To many lingcod and rock cod to count. 2 nice halibut, then did the salmon thing for a few hours at the end of the day and got 12 nice ones. So what I accomplished today is what they call a 1 day grand slam. A halibut, lingcod, yelloweye, and Chinook salmon. And i did it all on the Hookup Baits! So stoked. British Columbia Fishing Good for Hookup Baits

By | 2017-08-22T13:51:55+00:00 August 19th, 2017|News & Announcements|0 Comments

First day at QC safaris British Columbia is in the books. We had rough water conditions but the Hookup Baits prevailed. The 8 inch 4 oz. Baits were on fire for the lings, golden eye and many smaller rock fish and 2 nice halibut. We only fished salmon a couple hours and picked up some good ones. Hopefully conditions are better tomorrow and we really can do some damage. This post was originally on Facebook, if you have good stories and pictures please share on our facebook page.
